The Media Ownership Road Show Continues

The Commission has announced the next tour date in its Media Ownership Road Show.  This time it will head to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on February 23rd to hear what the public has to say on media ownership.  This is the third of a scheduled 6 stops on the Commission's national tour to hear what the public has to say about media consolidation.  In addition, the Commission recently promised Congress that it would finish its Localism proceeding before deciding on the multiple ownership rules - and there are still two more localism field hearings that were promised as well.  So it looks like the Commission will be building up frequent flyer miles, but the final set of ownership rules will may not be forthcoming for quite some time.  Further details on the Harrisburg forum will be forthcoming from the Commission.

Our previous observations on this proceeding can be found here.
